Product Information

A truly stunning woodburner which will become a major feature in any home for many years. The Vermont Castings Intrepid II dedicated wood burning stove is offered in a choice of classic matt black or two striking enamel finishes.

Equipped with a catalytic combustion system for cleaner emissions, the Intrepid II wood burning stove benefits from exemption from the Clean Air Act 1993 allowing you to burn wood even in smokeless areas.

Vermont Castings stoves are well known for their exceptional quality and attention to detail. Handcrafted from premium cast iron with intricate detailing on the stove body and double doors. The double doors can even be open when in use for real crackling open fire ambience.

You have the option of loading the stove from the front or using the convenient top loading compartment. Loading from the top also reduces smoke escaping. The top loading compartment also doubles up as a cook-plate - ideal for boiling a kettle or warming a casserole. General maintenance and cleaning couldn't be easier as the Intrepid II features a large ashpan so less frequent emptying. 

A powerful Airwash system helps keep the ceramic glass windows free from deposits and with automatic thermostatic operation, you can rely on even heat distribution. Adjustable feet help with installation on to uneven floors.

The standard model is offered in classic matt black finish with a choice of Lattice or Plain door design. Gloss enamel upgrade in stunning Bordeaux finish is also available with Lattice door option only.

The Vermont 2 in1 system brings the advantages of a traditional wood stove and a catalytic wood stove into one appliance. You can choose to run your stove either non-catalytic with its dramatic flame patterns and roaring fire, or simply convert to catalytic combustion and burn more efficiently with cleaner emissions and a more controlled burn rate.

Nominal heat output of 4.9kW so no air vent needed. The Intrepid II is an EcoDesign compliant stove.

Due to the size and weight of this model, the Vermont Castings Intrepid II wood burning stove will be delivered to you on a palletised delivery service. All pallet deliveries are kerbside/front door delivery only, so please arrange adequate means to take your order into your home. Under normal circumstances this may take 2 people.

Current delivery times for the Vermont Intrepid II woodburner is approximately 10-14 days however, this is dependant on stock levels at time of placing an order. Once an order is placed, we will contact you to advise if there is likely to be any delays on the estimated delivery time.
