With inspiration taken from classical fireplace inserts, the Gallery Jubilee cast iron insert is equally at home combined with modern fireplace designs. A simple, arch feature with highlighted sections polished to reveal a striking silver finish which has proved to be one of the most popular models in the range for many years.
Supplied with its own cast iron back section ready to accommodate a selection of fire options. The Jubilee is designed to fit behind a standard fireplace mantel with the decorative cast iron panel offering a stylish alternative to a flat marble back panel. Due to the inset requirement of the Jubilee insert (see 'Dimensions' tab), a Class 1 flue real chimney is required when combining with the dedicated gas fire or solid fuel kit and adequate recess depth is needed for the electric fire option.
The solid fuel grate option is for homeowners who want the ambience of a real wood burning or coal fire. Some colour discolouration of the polished detail is inevitable due to the intense heat around the fire chamber when using the insert for a real, open fire. Many consider this part of the charm of a real fire however, if this is likely to cause distress, it is recommended that a matt black insert is chosen.
The gas fire available for this model provides the look of a real fire but without the associated cleaning, emptying of ash etc. Hidden controls located behind the bottom ashpan cover allow you to adjust the flame height an on/off setting. Whilst producing a truly authentic effect that is almost indistinguishable from a real fire, gas fires that are designed to work with these types of cast iron inserts provide minimal heat output and are for those who wish to enjoy the fire for effect only.
Alternatively, the electric fire designed for the Jubilee simply requires plugging in to a standard 13 amp electric supply and gives an attractive glow which is popular for those who want to easily brighten the fireplace area during the evening whilst operating a low running costs. Low energy LED illumination on light only setting plus a fan heater at the bottom with 900W and 1800W output settings that will quickly help to take the chill off the room.
