The perfect companion for a variety of fireplace surrounds, the Coronet cast iron insert has a plain arch detail which can be supplied in all matt black finish or with the inner arch polished to a silver finish. It works well in both traditional or contemporary fire surrounds and is supplied with its own dedicated cast iron back giving you the option to add a dedicated gas fire, electric fire or for those who want the beauty and ambience of a real open fire, a solid fuel kit can also be chosen.
Constructed in robust cast iron using traditional methods, the Gallery Coronet has been a extremely popular design for many years. Designed for installation into a conventional chimney and requiring a larger than standard opening (see dimensions tab), it can be used to spruce up your existing fireplace or it is compatible with most mantels in the Gallery Fireplaces range,
The electric fire options available with this insert comprises of a moulded, orange plastic casing with coal pieces that fits neatly inside the fire bed area with lights underneath providing a welcoming glow to the room. You can select from a light effect only model or a heater model that provides up to 1.5kW from its concealed fan heater as well as light only setting.
The gas fire option has been especially designed for this insert and is tapered to drop into the fire grate. Operated by moving the bottom ashpan cover away from the insert to reveal the manual controls. It will provide beautiful, real flames dancing over a glowing coal effect fuel bed. These types of gas fires are classed as decorative effect only and no output rating is quoted. With a gas input of 6.9kW, an air vent is not normally required.
If you want the option of burning coal and logs, a solid fuel kit is also offered. In these instances, a suitable upgraded hearth will be needed and it is always recommended that the matt black version is chosen as polished finishes can tarnish with the increased heat produces by a real, open fire.
