If your room does get chilly, there is a fan heater at the base of the appliance capable of providing 900W or 1800W of convected heat. The electric fire is operated by a remote control as standard.
If you love the idea of relaxing in from of real, roaring fire, the Gallery Crown insert is available with its own solid fuel kit allowing you to burn either wood or coal. When burning solid fuel it is recommended that you choose a black finish insert as tarnishing can occur on polished surfaces.

Whilst the electric fire option does not require a chimney or flue, due to the cast iron back on the insert, it will still require adequate recess depth to accommodate the insert.
