The Brompton is one of the most popular designs in the extensive range of Gallery natural stone fireplace surrounds. Taking inspiration from the classical 'Flat Victorian' style, this handsome mantel is hand-crafted in natural Agean Limestone providing a striking frame around a vast array of interior, fire and hearth options.
Agean Limestone is formed over millions of years with each piece being totally unique. With subtle, random markings and a beautiful, chalky neutral finish that ensures it will compliment any colour scheme, it has proved to be a extremely popular option for fireplace manufacture for many years.
It is shown here in the images with the optional Coronet cast iron insert in matt black or half polish finish but is equally suited to most other back panel options. Supplied with its own cast iron back, the Gallery Coronet features an arch design that will provide your room with a stunning centrepiece. You also have the option of adding a dedicated coal effect gas fire, electric fire or for those who want to enjoy the ambience of a real fire, a solid fuel kit is also available*.
With a larger than standard opening required for the optional insert to recess into, a full chimney is required for the gas fire or solid fuel option. Whilst the optional remote controlled electric fire does not need a chimney or flue, adequate depth is required to accommodate the insert back section. The new PD2 electric fire has a glow only setting for all year round use plus 900W/1800W heat settings when needed.
The Gallery Brompton 51" limestone fire surround is equally suited to most other inserts and back panels.
To complete the look, you can select from one of several hearth options including polished granite, satin slate or, if you plan to use this fireplace with the solid fuel kit, a split and slabbed hearth.
You can view the range of optional hearths available with this fireplace HERE
*When using this fireplace with a solid fuel kit to burn coal or logs, it is recommended that black cast inserts are used rather than polished as due to the increased heat output, tarnishing of the cast iron can occur.
