A stylish surround from Cast Tec, the Kensington features beautiful curve design along the chest which extends down the legs. This is complimented by the stepped mantel shelf resulting in a mantel which is equally suited to both modern and traditional settings. Available here in natural Turkish limestone.
Turkish Limestone is a natural product and can be 300 million years old. Whilst it doesn't have the veining and complex colouration of many pure marbles, limestone still has the odd imperfection and occasionally fossils can be found embedded in the material. This is considered by many to be the beauty of natural limestone.
This exclusive design is ideally suited to be combined with most inserts. Whether this be one of the highly advanced Integra range of cast iron inserts which allows you to choose a powerful gas fire, balanced flue gas fire or electric fire or a flat back panel for use with a standard 16" gas fire. Alternatively, you may wish to fit the Kensington against a wall with a custom fireplace chamber to accommodate a wood burning stove.
The Cast Tec Kensington has a shelf length of 1350mm (53") making it ideal for standard sized rooms and chimney breasts. It is shown in the images fitted with the optional Regal Integra which is a plain arched insert with the inner and outer bands highlight polished along with the canopy rim and fire-front. Whilst shown with an open-fronted 'High Output' gas fire and honed black granite hearth, you may prefer to choose a different insert and hearth from our extensive range.
Unlike the majority of cast iron inserts which offer a gas fire that provides very little heat and poor efficiency, the Integra range have the ability of being able to be supplied with a large number of gas fires to suit all flue types and even for properties with no chimney or flue! They are all capable of providing a decent heat output whilst not compromising on looks.
The Integra Collection boasts a range of beautiful, practical and robust hearths to suit the Integra appliance of your choice. Suitable materials used for the hearths include honed or polished black granite, slate stone and limestone. Hearths come in three different styles:
Boxed & Lipped: These are traditional hearths with 20mm thickness and 30mm risers below.
Munro: These are more robust and contemporary having a 30mm thickness and 20mm risers below. Munro hearths are softer on the eye and to the touch having attractive rounded bullnose edges.
Solid Fuel: Hearths used for wood burning or solid fuel appliances are traditionally cut into four sections and fixed back together to allow for expansion. For use with Solid Fuel Integra, Cast Tec supply sturdy sectioned Munro hearths in honed or polished black granite.
