One of the smallest models in the extensive range of cast iron combination fireplaces from Carron, the Tulip is inspired by the Art Nouveau era and would be a superb addition to smaller rooms including lounges, dining rooms, studies and bedrooms*.
Not a fussy design, the Carron Tulip shows cast iron in all its glory with a simple floral feature across the mantel chest. You can choose the fireplace in the standard matt black finish which is the ideal option if you are planning to use it for burning wood and coal or if opting for the optional gas fire or even just as a feature without a fire, the fully polished version reveals a glorious satin silver overall colour.
The dedicated coal effect gas fire is suitable for Class 1 (real chimney) or Class 2 (5" prefabricated) flue systems subject to adequate depth being available to allow the Tulip's back section to recess. Simple operation of on/off and flame height adjustment is taken care of by the manual control knob at the bottom of the fireplace behind the ashpan drawer.
Polished (shiny) black granite hearth plinths can be added also. If planning to use the Tulip with Ashpan Tray, a 4 piece hearth will be needed.
*Gas fires are not suitable for installing in bedrooms
Polished cast iron is likely to tarnish when used with a real fire. If planning to use the Carron Tulip cast iron fireplace for burning wood and coal with the optional Ashpan Tray, it is recommended that the black finish is selected.
