What was once commonly found in the bedrooms* of period properties, cast iron combination fireplaces are still hugely popular also in main living rooms, studies and dining rooms. Smaller than standard mantels, they still provide the room with a stunning focal point without being too overpowering and can be used in conjunction with a Ashpan Tray to burn wood or coal or, for those preferring the convenience of instant on/off and controllability, a dedicated gas fire.
The Carron Bella is a cast iron fireplace in the Art Nouveau style, with stylistic patterning that runs along the frieze and framing. It is complimented by tan artistic canopy which offers a masterfully textured design with floral patterning.
The sturdy material of cast iron has proved a popular material in fireplace construction and you can opt for the Bella to be supplied fully hand polished to reveal a gorgeous satin silver finish or stay with the standard finish of classic matt black painted.
Choose an optional polished granite hearth offered in a variety of sizes. 1 piece hearths are designed for when using the fireplace without a fire as an attractive feature only or when combined with the optional dedicated gas fire. If you plan to use the Carron Bella to burn wood or solid fuel with the Ashpan Tray, a 4 piece hearth would be needed.
*Gas fires are not suitable for installation in bedrooms.
Polished cast iron is likely to tarnish when used with a real fire. If planning to use the Carron Bella cast iron fireplace for burning wood and coal with the optional Ashpan Tray, it is recommended that the black finish is selected.
