One of the larger cast iron fireplaces in the Gallery range, the Pembroke has a mantel shelf width of 1205mm (47½") making it a popular addition to standard sized living rooms, dining rooms or even in larger bedrooms* as a stunning feature.
Whilst normally associated with period properties, cast iron fireplaces are still extremely popular and manage to still compliment current interior design trends. Being a combination model, you do not have to purchase a separate surround and insert as the Gallery Pembroke is all combined within a single unit.
This heavy duty centrepiece is crafted from cast iron and you have the option of a matt black painted finish (the recommended colour for solid fuel) or a fully polished cast finish which produces a more contemporary, pewter finish. The complete fireplace on the full polish version is buffed to a pewter style finish although it retains a matt black mantel shelf top.
Supplied with a dedicated cast iron back which requires inset depth of at least 210mm (8¼"). For anyone with a busy lifestyle, the optional gas fire is a welcome addition that can easily be turned on/off and adjust the dancing flames using the manual controls located at the bottom of the fireplace behind the ashpan cover. Requiring a Class 1 chimney, the gas fire has a maximum input rating of 6.9kW so additional ventilation (air-vent) is not normally required.
For homes without a flue or for anyone wanting the ability to have a welcoming glow effect throughout the year without the need of any heat, a dedicated electric fire gives off a ambient light effect plus there's an option for heat too if required.
Adding the solid fuel kit gives you the ability to burn wood or solid fuels on a grate that fits inside the fire chamber.

*Gas fires are not suitable for installing in bedrooms
The standard hearth size for the Pembroke fireplace is the 48" x 15". A selection of larger hearth options are also offered in case an existing carpet cut-out etc is needed to be covered.
