The Burley Thurlby 2406 has been created to offer those whose homes do not feature a chimney to recreate the character of a real wood burning stove but with the convenience of gas. This stylish balanced flue gas fire is supplied with a dedicated rear exit flue which expels the fumes horizontally through an external wall rather than up a chimney.
This means you're not limited to where you can create a feature in your home - perfect for modern properties without a chimney, newly constructed extensions, conservatories etc. The Burley Thurlby can be combined within a fireplace or simply sat on a hearth as a free-standing feature. The only requirements are gas at the proposed location and an external wall for the twin-wall balanced flue kit to vent the fumes through the wall from the back of the appliance.
All balanced flue gas fires are room-sealed, glass-fronted appliances. As well as being attractive in appearance, they provide high levels of comfort due to the fact that the oxygen levels in the home are not being depleted. Balanced flue gas fires also have higher-than-average energy efficiency ratings, due to their closed combustion system and modern fireplace engineering standards.
The Thurlby 2406 is manufactured in Great Britain using a combination of strong steel for the body and a robust cast iron door with attractive Gothic Arch design. Behind the glass window is a realistic log effect fuel bed. The dancing flames provide a stunning contrast to the matt black finish and turned steel handle.
Manual controls hidden behind the panel at the bottom of the appliance. Option to upgrade to Remote control allowing armchair operation. Fully controllable heat output up to 3.2kW with excellent high efficiency of 83%.
