A similar design to the Brompton mantel with the the addition of a stylish fluted design at the top of each leg, the Gallery Clarendon is a versatile surround that can be combined with a large range of interior options. Shown in the images with the Landsdowne arched cast insert, the Clarendon looks equally at home when accompanied with a flat, black granite back panel and modern inset fire.
Agean limestone is the most popular natural stone material used in fireplace construction. Formed over millions of years, it has a captivating, smooth chalky finish that is matt in appearance. Cream/white tones with subtle random fossil markings add to the overall appeal of the clean lines of the mantel which is guaranteed to blend effortlessly within any interior décor.
An optional solid fuel kit gives you the ability to burn wood and coal in the Landsdowne insert. An uprated (slabbed) hearth will also be needed if you plan to use the fireplace for a real fire.
With the looks of a real fire including flickering, lazy flames and a glowing coal effect fuel bed, the dedicated gas fire is always popular. Manual controls allow you to easily operate the flames whenever the mood takes you. 6.9kW maximum gas input so an air vent is not normally required. Gas fires for these types of cast iron inserts are predominantly designed for decorative effect only and provide minimal heating performance.
