Ekol Clarity Vision Bio Ethanol Stove

Ekol's best-selling Ekol Clarity Vision (the wide-bodied 5kW model) stove now has a Bio-ethanol fuel option!

Bio-ethanol has become a popular fuel for fires and stoves. Bioethanol is a renewable energy fuel made by fermenting the sugar and starch components of plant by-products. These by-products primarily include sugarcane and crops such as grain. Bio-ethanol is a very clean fuel only emitting a tiny amount of water vapour as a by-product. 

A major benefit of burning bioethanol is the fact that it does not require a chimney or flue. This means you can install this stylish stove in almost any location providing instant ambiance and a lovely centrepiece for your home.

Burning bioethanol gives a lower maximum output of approximately 1.5kW so ideal as a “background” heat, or maybe during spring/summer evenings for the ambience of a real flame but with less heat requirement.

If you do want the option of burning wood, you can connect the stove to a suitable flue system giving you the option of enjoying extra heat with a nominal heat output of 5kW.

Inside the Ekol Clarity Vision Bio-ethanol stove is a precision laser cut stainless steel burner tray which has been designed to specifically suit this stove. With this option the you can easily and quickly switch between bio-ethanol or wood (when connected to a normal flue), or, the stove be used as a completely free-standing appliance with no chimney required if only burning the liquid fuel.
