With a heat output rating of 6.9kW, the Portway Glass 2 is capable of providing heat for larger rooms or open-plan living areas. However, if you want the look of a larger stove but your room size only needs a lower output, this innovative multifuel stove is available with optional 'Output Reducer Bricks'.
When fitted inside the fire chamber, these bricks reduce the internal volume of the stove allowing less room for fuel and subsequently reducing the heat output. The output is then reduced to 5kW making it ideal for small to medium sized rooms plus with the lower output when the reducer bricks are fitted, an air vent is not normally required in the room.
The Portway 2 Glass Multi-Fuel stove will provide you with warmth like no other energy source. Every burn period produces long lasting radiant heat that will maintain your comfort levels whilst returning high efficiency with low emissions when burning natural and renewable fuels. Portway stoves can easily burn for ten hours or more in a single filling of natural anthracite or other suitable fuel. This means you burn less fuel to get more heat compared to similar products on the market.
The sleekest contemporary stove in the Portway range, the 2 Glass is offered in a choice of black or bronze and comes with a glass fronted door with polished chrome detail. A colour matching glass top is also included and optional black enamel or bronze finished flue collar are available to create a luxury, ultra-modern look and feel.
Lovingly designed and constructed in the UK, the Portway 2 Glass features a 5mm thick steel body to ensure an air tight combustion. The large glass viewing window gives a wonderful view of the flames whilst a powerful Airwash system helps to keep the glass clean. Simple to operate air controls allow you to set the stove at the perfect burn rate depending on what view is being burnt and inside the stove is a large, easy-carry ashpan to aid with cleaning. This designer stove can accept logs up to 410mm (16") in length.
The Portway 2 Glass boasts CE Approval to standard BS EN 13240 and is suitable for use in Smoke Control Areas when burning wood (or smokeless fuels), as recommended by DEFRA.
