The Slimline version of Parkray's Consort 5 is wider and slimmer compared to the 'Standard' version and able to provide all the heat and efficiency that you expect from this popular range. The Consort Slimline 5 is ideal for installations have restricted depth and benefits from a superb view of the flames thanks to the stoves increased fire box width and a choice of single or double door options.
The stove is DEFRA approved for smoke controlled areas. On the dedicated wood burning version the stove has a flat bed which is the optimum preference for burning wood as no air is able to come underneath the wood. For efficient wood burning the hot ‘airwash’ is directed down the stove door and into the heart of the fire. This ensures complete combustion which helps to keep the chimney clean. All stoves need a deep bed of ash to build up the optimum conditions for burning wood.
On the multi-fuel version you have the ability to also burn solid fuels and this model is also supplied with an external riddling facility. The cold-handled riddling tool can be used for opening and closing the doors, riddling the grate, grate adjustment and easy removal of the ash pan. When burning smokeless fuel and for easy lighting of the Consort stoves the grate can be changed to the open position by a single turn of the handle. Air can then be directed under the open grate and into the heart of the fire – the optimum conditions for burning solid fuel.
The Consort 5 Slimline is engineered with the Parkray technology you’ve come to expect. Capable of delivering a proportionally higher heat output than many of its bigger counterparts. So, even if your space is discreet, your stove needn’t be.
