Inset stoves or cassette stoves are a popular alternative to free-standing models as they can either by fitted into a fireplace surround which has a dedicated opening or for a more modern feel, they look great raised up in the wall so that the fire is at the optimum height for viewing whilst seated.
The Titus 5 by Cast Tec is an attractive design constructed using a combination of heavy-gauge steel and robust cast iron. It gives a fantastic view of the burning logs through a large glass window - a lovely, welcoming feature in your home especially on those cold winter evenings!
Whether country cottage or modern town house, you can enjoy the warmth, ambience and superb heating performance of the Cast Tec Titus 5 as it is has passed the stringent tests set by DEFRA meaning it can be used to burn wood even if you are located in a smokeless area.
Similar in design to the Cast Tec Trajan inset stove but with a wider window display and a general overall width which is 100mm (4”) wider. The Titus 5 comes with a standard 3 sided black trim for hearth-mounting but is also available with a 4 sided trim option to allow the stove to be fitted higher up the wall or chimney breast as a ‘hole in the wall’ effect.
The Titus benefits from a Tertiary Air System which mixes pre-heated air with the exhaust gases causing the exhaust gas to re-ignite producing a cleaner and more efficient stove. Nominal heat output of 5kW so an air vent is not normally required. Impressive high efficiency of up to 80%. Suitable for installation into a Class 1 flue or chimney with a 150mm (6") flue outlet located at the top of the appliance.
