For rooms with a narrow hearth, the Avalon 5 Slimline is an ideal choice. This room heater retains the efficiency and output of an ampler model, so you can still enjoy a generous warmth on those cold winter nights. Boasting advanced stove technology for maximised combustion, this is a wonderfully eco-friendly option too!
You can now enjoy the charm of a wider stove which provides a stunning flame view from the panoramic window without it having a heat output too powerful for standard sized rooms. The Avalon 5 Slimline manages to do this by having a shallower depth resulting in a nominal heat output of 4.4kW despite it's impressive overall width of 575mm.
Due to its nominal heat output rating, the 5 Slimline does not normally require an air vent in the room. However, fully loaded and with the air control set full, it is capable of providing up to 6.0kW. It can also accommodate larger logs up to 405mm (16") in length.
Nominal output is a reasonable heat output that should be achievable without over-firing the unit. Under specific test conditions, the independent test laboratory operates the stove at less-than-optimum conditions to replicate customer use.
Choose from a dedicated wood burning model or for those who also want the option of burning solid fuels, a multi-fuel version is also available. Both models are smoke exempt appliances and therefore can be used to burn wood (or smokeless fuels on the multi-fuel model) in smokeless areas. Avalon's Tripleburn® technology aids efficiency and performance with three streams of air causing an incredibly efficient burning of the fuel, which results in an increased heat output, less smoke and a cleaner environment.
For improved wood burning on the multi-fuel model, Tripleburn® technology improves the ignition of the fuel, with a jet of air directed into the heart of the fire. When the grate is in the closed position, it creates a flat base and allows a deep bed of ash to build up – these are the optimum conditions for burning wood.
Premium construction using steel for the body to ensure an air tight combustion with robust cast iron for the door. No need to scrub the glass thanks to the innovative Airwash system - Hot Airwash Technology does the work for you. A ‘Secondary Air’ wash maintains a stream of air between fuel and door, reducing the build-up of carbon deposits on the glass.
The internal lining system on the Avalon 5 Slimline maximises the firebox temperature, ensuring complete combustion. This popular, single-sided free standing stove can be flued from either the top or the rear of the stove. An optional Flue Damper is available which allows a greater controllability on the flue draw (if necessary).
