Open Fronted - Gazco Studio 3 Steel
Designed for mainly decorative purposes, the Gazco Studio 3 Steel 2 open-fronted gas fire will give your home a beautiful, ambient feature with open, flickering flames over a contemporary white stone fuel bed. A contrasting black interior accentuates the fire making a truly striking focal point that can be enjoyed throughout the year and used in conjunction with your main source of heating. Due to its lower heat output, the open-fronted model does not create a particularly hot environment around the fire and therefore, Gazco state that subject to following their recommendations (see below), it is possible to fit this model below a flat screen television. This model is suitable for installation into a standard working chimney or 7" prefabricated flues.
Glass Fronted - Balanced Flue Gazco Studio 3 Steel
Also glass-fronted, the 'no chimney' balanced flue Studio 3 is designed to be fitted on a flat, exterior wall. A 'Up & Out' balanced flue kit expels the fumes outside from a 90º attached to the top of the fire and a horizontal pipe and terminal which gets fitted on to the wall outside. As a full depth appliance (345mm), it is normal practice for this type of hole-in-the-wall balanced flue gas fire to be fitted into a false, stud chimney breast built into the room as the fire is too deep to fit into a standard cavity wall. Gazco now offer a slimline version of their Studio 1 balanced flue fire that due to its shallow depth, can be inset into a standard, external cavity wall. Offered with three attractive fuel effect options and your choice of black reeded, black glass or vermiculite interior.
All models are operated by Gazco's Command Controls: Standard remote (Open Fronted) and Programmable Thermostatic remote (Balanced Flue)
Installing Televisions above Open Fronted Studio Fires
On a normal flue which is functioning correctly, Open Fronted Studios do not create a particularly hot environment on the wall above where they are installed. Therefore, it may be possible to install Plasma or LCD TV's above them, as long as the distance to the TV is a minimum of 450mm from the top of the fire and as long as it has been checked with the TV manufacturer’s installation instructions with regard to installation and heat proximity. If in doubt please contact and check with your TV manufacturer.
Glass Fronted Studio Fires
Gazco does not recommend installation of televisions above Glass Fronted Studio fires.
