The appeal of a real, open living flame effect within a stylish, contemporary enclosure. The open-fronted, Gazco Studio 3 Glass gas fire is ideal for anyone looking for a modern, focal feature that can be fitted below a television (see information below). Due to the design of open-fronted fires like this model, heat output is minimal meaning its a appliance that you can enjoy no matter what the weather to give your room a cosy, ambient feel without relying on it to heat the room. Supplied with a ultra-modern, white stones fuel bed and a black interior that really helps to make the flickering flames stand out. Sequential remote control allows you to turn the fire on/off and adjust the flame height without leaving your seat.
Glass Fronted - Balanced Flue Gazco Studio 3 Glass
For properties without a chimney or flue, the balanced flue version of the Studio 3 'Glass' gives you the opportunity of adding a premium, full-depth gas fireplace that incorporates its own, dedicated flue system. The standard balanced flue kit supplied with the fire consists of sections of co-axial pipe (one pipe within a larger pipe). The outer pipe draws air in from the outside and the inner pipe expels combustion gases. This kit allows you to fit the fire against an exterior wall with the balanced flue kit taking the fumes from the top of the fire and then bending 90º allowing the fumes to vent horizontally through the wall. Being a full depth appliance with a 345mm total depth, installation of this model would normally require a stud wall being built in the room to accommodate the inset depth. For home owners who would rather not build out into the room, a slimline model of the Gazco Studio balanced flue has recently been introduced. Pebble & Stones, Log or Driftwood fuel effect with your choice of black reeded, black glass or vermiculite interior linings.
All models are operated by Gazco's Command Controls: Standard remote (Open Fronted) and Programmable Thermostatic remote (Balanced Flue)
Installing Televisions above Open Fronted Studio Fires
On a normal flue which is functioning correctly, Open Fronted Studios do not create a particularly hot environment on the wall above where they are installed. Therefore, it may be possible to install Plasma or LCD TV's above them, as long as the distance to the TV is a minimum of 450mm from the top of the fire and as long as it has been checked with the TV manufacturer’s installation instructions with regard to installation and heat proximity. If in doubt please contact and check with your TV manufacturer.
Glass Fronted Studio Fires
Gazco does not recommend installation of televisions above Glass Fronted Studio fires.
