The 'Edge' refers to this model having a frame-less design allowing you to plaster or tile right up to the fire enclosure. This gives a minimalist look that allows the flickering flames on the Gazco Studio Edge gas fire to become the main feature. Available with the open-fronted, conventional flue or glass-fronted, balanced flue Studio 3 fire, this really is a fire that will become an integral feature in your home.
The open-fronted model is supplied with a contemporary, white stone fuel bed and black enamel interior. You have the option of adding black granite interior panels on the open-fronted Studio Edge. The balanced flue model is offered with your choice vermiculite, black glass or black reeded interior panels with a classic log, driftwood or contemporary pebble & stone effect.
On the balanced flue model, a 'Edge Kit' or 'Cool Wall Kit' is required for installation.
*No-frame refers to added exterior frames, Glass Fronted Studios have an additional 27mm inner frame that secures the glass window in place.
Open Fronted - Gazco Studio 3 Edge
Designed more for decorative effect rather than heat output, the open-fronted Gazco Studio 3 Edge gas fire offers you the ultimate in ambience with real, flickering flames dancing over a white stone fuel bed. With most homes being well insulated and featuring double glazing and central heating, it is a popular option for people who want to relax in front of a stylish, homely fire without the need to switch the fire off when the room gets too hot. Because of the lower heat offered by this fire, it is also one of the few models available that is classed as suitable for positioning below a flat screen television (subject to following manufacturers instructions quoted below).
Glass Fronted - Balanced Flue Gazco Studio 3 Edge
The balanced flue Studio 3 Edge is an ideal solution if you live in a property without a chimney or flue but want to add a highly efficient feature fireplace. Designed to be fitted against an external wall, a dedicated balanced flue kit takes care of the fumes expelling them from the top of the fire then horizontally out through the wall. This model boasts a terrific maximum heat output of up to 7.30kW and a amazing energy efficiency rating of 81%! Available with your choice of logs or white stones fuel effects as well as interior finish options.
All models are operated by Gazco's Command Controls: Standard remote (Open Fronted) and Programmable Thermostatic remote (Balanced Flue)
Installing Televisions above Open Fronted Studio Fires
On a normal flue which is functioning correctly, Open Fronted Studios do not create a particularly hot environment on the wall above where they are installed. Therefore, it may be possible to install Plasma or LCD TV's above them, as long as the distance to the TV is a minimum of 450mm from the top of the fire and as long as it has been checked with the TV manufacturer’s installation instructions with regard to installation and heat proximity. If in doubt please contact and check with your TV manufacturer.
Glass Fronted Studio Fires
Gazco does not recommend installation of televisions above Glass Fronted Studio fires.
