A familiar feature in Victorian properties, cast iron combination fireplaces were often fitted in living rooms, dining rooms, occasional room and bedrooms*. They are still proving a popular addition today with many homeowners looking to replace original fireplaces or for within a modern interior as a stylish blend of 'old & new'.
The Carron Morris is the epitome of classical designs dating from the early 1900's. Chic, Art Nouveau floral detail offers a feminine contrast to the robust cast iron construction. A matt black model will provide a dramatic feature especially against lighter walls and is the ideal option if you're planning on going for the optional Ashpan Tray to burn wood and coal.
A hand polished finish reveals a gorgeous satin silver colour that fits equally well in contemporary settings. Whilst this finish is likely to show signs of tarnishing if combined with a real fire, the coal effect gas fire option is more suited and benefits from instant on/off control and flame height adjustment using the manual controls located at the bottom.
Also often purchased without a fire to be used purely as a decorative feature, the Carron Morris does however have a total depth of 220mm (8¾") so adequate depth will be needed to recess and it wouldn't be suitable for fitting on a flat wall.
Side panels designed to incorporate decorative tile panels give you the opportunity to choose a style and colour that will compliment your existing décor. We have a extensive range of tiles available including hand-painted tubelined tiles, traditional transfer designs, cast panels or plain coloured options.
Available with and optional shiny polished granite hearth in various sizes to suit your individual requirements. A 4 piece hearth is required if planning to use the Carron Morris to burn wood and solid fuels to allow for heat expansion.
*Gas fires are not suitable for installation into bedrooms.
