For properties that do not feature a chimney or flue, you now have a solution if you want the look and feel of a log burner. The Burley Ambience 4121 is a flueless gas stove that boasts the very latest, innovative catalytic converter technology. Even if you home does have a flue, you still may wish to take advantage of the Ambience's amazing 92% useful energy efficiency rating as all heat produced enters the room.
Burley introduced fixed flueless gas fires to Britain in 1999. Although the concept is relatively new in this country, flueless gas fires have a long established history in Japan (where there are 40 million), the United States (approximately 20 million) and Australia.
As the Burley Ambience does not rely on a chimney, it boats an unsurpassed level of safety features. Every Burley flueless gas fire has an oxygen depletion sensor which constantly monitors the air quality in the room. If the level of oxygen drops by just 1.5%, the fire automatically shuts down. To ensure absolute clean burning, Burley fit a ceramic glass front to all their flueless gas fires.
Incorporating a catalytic converter which is a honeycomb coated with rare metals. Oxygen ‘sticks’ to the coating so when carbon monoxide molecule meets it, the oxygen converts the carbon monoxide to carbon dioxide (which is harmless and is present in fresh air). Burley has NEVER had a catalytic converter fail or need replacing.
The only requirements needed when fitting the Burley Ambience is a minimum room size of 40m³ (length x width x height) and an air vent which provides not less than 100cm² free air installed in the room, at least 1 metre away from the fire.
Stylish black finish giving the 'woodburner' look with real flames dancing around a authentic log effect fuel bed. Cream, brick-effect interior. Available for properties running Natural Gas or LPG. Operated by manual controls located at the base of the stove or upgradeable to Remote Control.
