The optional gas fire gives the look of a real fire and is easily operated using the manual controls hidden at the bottom of the insert behind the removable ashpan drawer. The electric fire option gives you the ability to enjoy a glow from the fire bed by simply plugging in to a standard electric supply. A orange moulded section fits inside the insert within the fire area and is popular for those who want to brighten up the fireplace without necessarily wanting heat. There is a version offered which incorporates a 2kW fan heater that can be operated independently of the glow light setting.
The solid fuel kit option gives you a grate and ashpan for burning wood and solid fuels. If this option is chosen, an uprated slabbed hearth will also be required.
