One of the most popular trim options in the Studio range of gas fires, the Gazco Studio 3 Profil features a simple, flat trim that frames this wide aspect gas fire beautifully. Choose from the open-fronted model with a flickering, open flame bed that is designed to be fitted into a suitable chimney or the glass-fronted, balanced flue Gazco Studio 3 Profil that includes a dedicated balanced flue kit suitable for installation against a exterior wall in no chimney properties. Profil trim available in class graphite or polished stainless steel.
Open Fronted - Gazco Studio 3 Profil
If you're looking for a striking feature in your home that you can enjoy the ambience of open, dancing flames most evenings and do not rely on the gas fire to heat the room, the Gazco Studio 3 Profil gas fireplace is the perfect solution. Due to the design of open-fronted models, they do do offer offer a particularly hot environment so they make a good option for something that can be enjoyed throughout the year. The other benefit of this model is that due to the low heat produced, the manufacturer has deemed it suitable to fit below a plasma or LCD television subject to following their positioning recommendations (see below). The open-fronted Gazco Studio 3 is supplied with a black interior and cool, white stones fuel bed. It is designed to fit into a standard chimney or a 7" prefabricated flue subject to adequate depth being available.
Glass Fronted - Balanced Flue Gazco Studio 3 Profil
No chimney? No problem! The Gazco Studio 3 Profil balanced flue gas fire has the same options available as on the glass-fronted, conventional flue model but has been especially designed for properties without a chimney or flue. Also glass-fronted, the balanced flue model includes sections of pipe and a 90º bend that attaches to the top of the fire and vents the fumes directly outside through a horizontal co-axial pipe (one pipe within a larger pipe). The outer pipe draws air in from the outside and the inner pipe expels combustion gases. The balanced flue model can also be supplied with custom sections of pipework if you plan to install the fire in a position that is further away from a external wall although this will need to be checked with Gazco's technical department to ensure it conforms with their instructions. This model also boasts the highest heat output and energy efficiency out of the complete Studio 3 range. This is a full depth appliance and if you plan to fit this model against a flat, external wall, it is likely that a stud wall will be required to accommodate the appliance depth (Gazco now offer a slimline version of their Studio 1 balanced flue which is designed to be fitted into the cavity of a standard, external wall).
The balanced flue Studio Profil is now offered with a choice of Logs, Driftwood or Pebble & Stone fuel effect and black reeded, black glass or vermiculite interior panels.
All models are operated by Gazco's Command Controls: Standard remote (Open Fronted) and Programmable Thermostatic remote (Balanced Flue)
Installing Televisions above Open Fronted Studio Fires
On a normal flue which is functioning correctly, Open Fronted Studios do not create a particularly hot environment on the wall above where they are installed. Therefore, it may be possible to install Plasma or LCD TV's above them, as long as the distance to the TV is a minimum of 450mm from the top of the fire and as long as it has been checked with the TV manufacturer’s installation instructions with regard to installation and heat proximity. If in doubt please contact and check with your TV manufacturer.
Glass Fronted Studio Fires
Gazco does not recommend installation of televisions above Glass Fronted Studio fires.
