The Gazco Studio 1 Edge gas fire is for those who require minimalist modern perfection. The fire has an eye-catching no frame* design that allows the flickering flames to take centre stage on this beautiful focal point. Models of fires available with the Studio 'Edge' include the open-fronted and glass-fronted conventional flue models plus a balanced flue version for properties without a chimney or flue. If opting for the glass-fronted conventional flue and balanced flue versions, you have the choice of a white stone or log fuel effect with black or cream interior. The open-fronted Studio 1 Edge is supplied with white stones and black interior only.
On the glass-fronted, conventional flue and balanced flue models, a 'Edge Kit' or 'Cool Wall Kit' is required for installation.
*No-frame refers to added exterior frames, Glass Fronted Studios have an additional 27mm inner frame that secures the glass window in place.
Open Fronted - Gazco Studio 1 Edge
Designed more for decorative effect rather than heat output, the open-fronted Gazco Studio 1 Edge gas fire offers you the ultimate in ambience with real, flickering flames dancing over a white stone fuel bed. With most homes being well insulated and featuring double glazing and central heating, it is a popular option for people who want to relax in front of a stylish, homely fire without the need to switch the fire off when the room gets too hot. Because of the lower heat offered by this fire, it is also one of the few models available that is classed as suitable for positioning below a flat screen television (subject to following manufacturers instructions quoted below).
Glass Fronted - Conventional Flue Gazco Studio 1 Edge (Mk2 model)
For a considerably higher heat output and efficiency rating, the glass-fronted, conventional flue Gazco Studio 1 Edge gas fire is a very popular choice. The glass front helps to reduce heat lost up the flue and therefore provides more heat for less gas used. This model is capable of providing up to 4.85kW of heat with efficiency at 70%. There is an extensive range of interior and fuel effects available on this version including a new Pebble & White Stones fuel effect and highly reflective black glass interior linings. Due to the increased performance of the glass-fronted model, it is not suitable for installing below a television.
Glass Fronted - Balanced Flue Gazco Studio 1 Edge
If your home does not have a chimney or flue, the balanced flue model includes a 'Up & Out' balanced flue kit that expels the flue gases up and horizontally through an external wall. Being a glass-fronted model too, the balanced flue model offers high efficiency of up to 81% with a superb maximum heat output of 5.20kW. Available with a wide variety of fuel effects and interior lining options. Due to the depth of the appliance, in most circumstances a stud wall will need to be built in the room to accommodate the appliance depth on flat wall installations (Gazco now offer a 'Slimline' Studio 1 Balanced Flue gas fire that is designed for flat wall installations)
All models are operated by Gazco's Command Controls: Standard remote (Open Fronted) and Programmable Thermostatic remote (Glass Fronted & Balanced Flue)
(Manufacturers instructions are offered as a guide only and may not always be the latest version)
